Established in accordance with the norms of the Innovation Cell, Ministry of Education, Government of India, to nurture innovation, entrepreneurship, design thinking, and startup ecosystems in higher education.

About the Council

The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of our college is committed to fostering a vibrant culture of innovation, creativity, entrepreneurship, and scientific temper among students and faculty. The Council provides a dynamic platform for nurturing ideas, exploring emerging technologies, and transforming innovative concepts into practical solutions that address societal and community needs.

Through expert mentorship, workshops, seminars, hands-on activities, industry interaction, competitions, and exposure to diverse innovation ecosystems, IIC encourages students to develop critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, creativity, and an enterprising mindset. As a State Government institution committed to accessible and quality higher education, our IIC strives to empower young minds, promote inclusive innovation, and contribute meaningfully to the socioeconomic and technological development of society.

Objectives

  • To foster a culture of innovation, creativity, scientific temper, and critical thinking among students and faculty.
  • To facilitate ideation, experimentation, prototyping, and the application of emerging technologies.
  • To provide mentorship and guidance from innovators, entrepreneurs, industry professionals, academicians, and subject experts.
  • To promote entrepreneurship and awareness of intellectual property rights (IPR), startups, and technology-based opportunities.
  • To create opportunities for students and faculty to participate in innovation-related workshops, exhibitions, competitions, hackathons, and national/international programs.
  • To encourage socially relevant and inclusive innovations that address local and community needs and contribute to socioeconomic progress.

Key Functions

  1. To organize workshops, seminars, awareness programmes, and interactive sessions on innovation, entrepreneurship, startups, IPR, and emerging technologies.
  2. To facilitate ideation, design thinking, experimentation, and prototype development by providing structured guidance and mentoring.
  3. To promote active participation in innovation competitions, hackathons, exhibitions, challenges, and national hackathons (like SIH).
  4. To foster collaboration and interaction with industry professionals, innovators, entrepreneurs, research institutions, startups, and incubation centres.
  5. To encourage the development of sustainable, cost-effective, and socially impactful solutions addressing localized community needs.
